We used to call it being nervous when we were stepping into situations like public speaking, meeting new people at a party, job interviews, asking someone on a date or requesting a raise at work. Nervousness builds up over the years and it turns into a big obstacle at times that prevents us from creating a life we thoroughly love. We avoid, we make excuses, we hide our feelings or aren’t completely honest with our thoughts due to the fear of what others may think about us. We don’t speak up at a team meeting or take on a leadership role due to fear of public speaking.

In school, I experienced test anxiety and fear of failing. It progressed to performance anxiety and panic attacks as an adult.
